perfect

t.j. is home!!! finally. He is perfect and things are wonderful. We met up on saturday morning at a park in Kaysville and it couldn't have been better. I am glad that we didn't do the airport thing...it just isn't as romantic. Plus, I wouldn't have been able to only shake his hand. It didn't take long for things to pick right back up between us. Sometimes it seems like he never left. I love him so much and can't wait until he moves down to st. g on monday!!
thank you again for all your support. I couldn't have done this without help from Heavenly Father, t.j., and all of you!!!

...like we never left...
our first picture

turns out t.j. is still obsessed with Golden City in Preston, so we had to make a trip there over the weekend. It was actually pretty good. Plus, it brought back some great memories.

...5 weeks and counting...

I just wanted to update everyone real quick on my totally exciting life. I am still going to school at SUU for my BSN, I am working in Central Staffing at DRMC and I love it, and my boyfriend gets home in 5 weeks! ok, so the last part was really the only one I wanted to talk about! I am so excited. He is doing awesome but he said one thing in his letter that scared me a bit. He said that he loves his new area (i'll explain later) that he considered extending because there is so much work to be done. uh...i don't think that is a good idea. I love missions, i love missionaries, but 2 years and 1 week is plenty. He did say that he wouldn't because he cares about my sanity though so that was sweet of him! ha Here are a couple parts from his last couple letters. He has been given the opportunity to go back out to the field (out of the office) for his last transfer. He is actually opening up a totally new area... 65,000 people-4 members-no former knowledge of latter-day saint missionaries. sounds pretty intense to me! He loves it!

Im having the best time of my life right now. I cant believe i only have like 5 weeks left to do this because there is just so much stuff to do for the church in my new area. Im seriously going to be so focused and busy till the end. im pumped! So we had the very first ever sacrament meeting in the area yesterday and it actually went pretty well. We had a total of 18 people. There are 4 active members, us and then we actually found a 27 year guy who has been inactive for like 9 years, he called us down when we were just in the streets and so we kept visiting him and hes been caught up in all sorts of worldly things but we have taught him to start reading and praying again and he came to the sacrament meeting. We just did it in a room in one of the members houses and just set up a bunch of plastic chairs. We had a keyboard and so my comp played the hymns and I lead the music, presided, and directed the meetings! We had the members give talks, and then my comp and i blessed and passed the sacrament. It was so amazing though because you just know that we are doing the right thing and that we have the priesthood so we can. We also had a family of 4 who were there and its a family just beyond prepared who had gone to the meetings in a different city with the members earlier in the year. We went to their house yesterday and had an amazing lesson with them and invited them to be baptized next sunday, and the mom and dad and their two little girls ages 8 and 11 accepted. This week we are going to be focusing on them big time. There names are Ramon, Carolina, camila and Lorena. I am really excited for them.
The lord has already blessed us big time. Its amazing because every person we meet is just super curious and wants to know what we are doing, and who we are because they have never seen missionaries before. I'm loving it. We are going to do the baptisms in a little river like 2 miles out of town because obviously we dont have a baptismal font. I feel like im living in the 1800's! forget about it! What a blessing and opportunity though right.

But for real the people here are Amazing. I seriously do love the paraguayan people down here, they truly are incredible and i cant even tell you how amazing the mission has been. I have loved every second of it, i'm going to miss it big time. The people just need the gospel so bad and they are ready for it also. We have seriously been rejected by only 2 people here out of like the 200 we have talked to. Every one just lets us in and wants to hear our message its awesome! I am super pumped about this family that is preparing for baptism on Sunday, i pray that everything will go well for them.

As you can tell, he is really excited and busy and I don't blame him for wanting to extend...doesn't mean I'm gonna let it happen though. :)
He is an amazing missionary. I am lucky to have him.

my new purchases...and obsessions

Pulse Clothing is my new obsession. Yes it is my sister's store...but that really has nothing to do with it, besides the convenience! I love everything in the store. why? because I helped pick it all out!!! I have gotten the cutest stuff lately and there is so much more to come I can't contain myself. We went to the magic fashion show in Vegas in February and I helped Shea pick out all the orders for the fall, and they are finally here! Below are just a couple pics of my new purchases.
The Celine 16 boot cut...i have a major crush on this jean. I have been waiting months for them to get here and they are so cute on!
Naughty Monkey Zebra heel. Tall enough to make me happy, yet comfy enough to wear around all day! The perfect combo with the below skinny jean...
This is the Amy 03 Skinny. Black rhinestone studded pockets, no flap, skinny dark jean that makes my legs look longer, great fit, comfy enough to wear all day, and yeah! i love em! Once the division e shirts (that I picked out) come in, I will be rockin them, coupled with these jeans and the zebra heels above. oh man! just in time for t.j. ha
So, because I love everyone that reads my blog...call me or leave me a comment and I can get you a good deal! Honestly, I work there now so I have the hook up!! There is so much cute stuff and it is cheaper than anywhere else so it would be foolish not to shop here! ok, so we sell stuff from Rock Revival, Steve Madden, Naughty Monkey, Not Rated, Ogio, Dragon, DC, and kids shoes (not the first thing I would buy, but some of you have kids!) so yeah. call me or post a comment and i will hook you up. ...just because i'm nice... ha
love you all!!!

welcome back to the world of bloggers britt...geez, it's about time!

it's been so long and basically I have no excuse. I have been super busy working!

Just a quick update. I am now working for Central Staffing at Dixie Regional Medical Center here in St. George as a RN. Central Staffing is just a fancy way of saying "float pool." I am trained on pretty much every floor of the hospital and i love it! The best part is that when one horrible day ends...i can take a breath of fresh air knowing that I don't have to go back to that floor for at least a couple days. :) And that is a wonderful feeling! I make my own schedule about 2 months in advance and only have to work 3 weekend shifts a month and life is good! I have seen the hand of the Lord in my life so much lately and I am so grateful.
Shea and John have moved into their new house and I took over the condo. I love it. So relaxing and nice, plus it is wonderful having Shea right up the hill. She takes good care of me. We have our own little world out here! It is kind of funny how it works. But we love just hangin out so it is perfect. Her store, PULSE CLOTHING, is now located inside the Colour Hair and Body Spa and it is doing great. Shea is an amazing business owner. I don’t know how she does it all. She was even offered a job from the head people at Rock Revival! She is THAT good. I love having the store down here…definitely have been hooked up with some super cute jeans. I don’t think I will ever wear anything but Rock Revivals. I love them!

T.J. comes home in 2 months and I couldn't be more excited! It is finally happening and it is kinda crazy actually. I am starting to wonder if I am ready...if I got everything accomplished that I wanted to and if I grew as much as I had hoped. I do feel good about where I'm at in my life and I feel so ready to have my best friend back. It has been a long 2 years. He has been an amazing missionary though, and has grown so much. I couldn’t be more proud of him. I knew that he would step up and let his leadership skills come to the surface. He is a natural leader… a silent leader. One of those people that others follow but they don’t really know why. He has really shown that these last 2 years and he has grown more than I ever imagined. I am so grateful that he went on a mission and that he chose to do it for the Lord and himself, but I also know that he did it for me as well-in the sense of wanting to become a better person so he could be a better husband and father. He has mentioned that several times, and I just love him for it. He is a catch…!!!! And on OCTOBER 29 I will be one happy girl!

More than just a movie

The other night we decided to go to a movie. like we always do. But this night was different for some reason. I, of course, had my camera and was in the picture taking mood. Here is what came of it.

we went to get tickets to Karate Kid and the movie time was pushed back 45 min so we ventured to the gas station to get some goods.

the girls (no, we are not the goods)

I wanted an Idaho STUD (not the candy bar. I actually hate them)

And B wanted a BIG HUNK. wait? what? nothin...
Once we smuggled all our treats into the theater via our suitcases-what Bryan likes to call our overly sized purses=we waited for the movie to start. The manager lady gets up and gives this whole shpeel on how texting ruins the quality of the movie (yeah right) and how we should turn them off and not disrupt the other viewers. Ok, we got that. So we are taking pics before the PREVIEWS even come on and the lady behind us has the nerve to tell me to turn my "damn camera off." Here she is...and she calls herself a Christian...

After that experience we were a bit fired up. haha not really, but we were headed to Pulse Clothing and we were in the Tahoe and this minivan totally tried to race us. Who would have guessed. John of course gave them some competition and we won. go figure :)

Once we got to the store, Bryan decided to try out for the part of store spokesman/model. He did a pretty good job. :) Lookin good B.

We had a really fun and crazy night. I added a few more pics so we could all remember this night.

Where the crazy happens

Linds and I went to Vegas on June 16. Too bad it wasn't for a really fun reason! I was taking my Nursing Boards (NCLEX) the next day so we decided to make a trip out of it. Linds and I always seem to make it exciting no matter where we go so here is our trip in pictures.

First we saw this in our hotel...

So we decided to check it out. The bouquet...

The chapel...Pretty exciting. My dream wedding for sure!

Then Linds found the amusement park in the hotel. I do not do rides...so linds did this while I took pictures! She even made some new high school friends :)

The next day, after a horrible nights sleep thanks to the springs digging into our backs, we woke up early and I went and did this...
(my ATT, Authorization to test)

in this crazy huge building!

After the horrible experience of the NCLEX, we went and shopped at Ross (a post NCLEX tradition started by Lindsey) and bought some really cute things! Thank you linds for coming with me. you were my sanity!! love you

HapPy BirThdAY!!

Happy Birthday Shea and Bryan!!
Shea and B share almost the same exact date of birth. Shea is June 3, and B is June 4...same year. How special huh! We went to Pizza Factory for Shea's and then had a party out at Steve and Jill's for Bryan's the next night. Always something to celebrate! We won't say how old you are tho. 26 is embarrassing. :)
love you both!

Angels and Airwaves/Say Anything

John, Shea, Ben, and I went to the Angels/Say Anything concert at the Hard Rock in Vegas at the end of May. It was a ton of fun! We got a room at the Hard Rock and just enjoyed ourselves. We went to the Forum shops and then ate at Cheesecake Factory. So good! The next day we went to the outlets and went shopping...of course. We hit up Charlotte Russe and found a lot of cute threads...as always! Here are some pics from the weekend!

The coolest picture ever! I love TMNT!!

some things should only be done once...

and when i say "some things" I mean taking the NCLEX! June 17 was a day of total anxiety and included the hardest 78 questions I have ever had to answer...but everything is okay now because...I PASSED! I am a registered nurse..for real!

Nursing Pinning Ceremony at Zion National Park

My nursing class had a pinning ceremony on National Nurse's Day, May 6, 2010. It was such beautiful scenery and really was a neat experience. Basically it was our own private graduation, which I thought was ideal. A couple of my classmates spoke as well as Jane Edwards, one of my favorite instructors! After the speakers, we were all called up and were pinned by someone "special." I, of course, chose my wonderful mother! We had so much fun. I had so much support from family and friends and was so happy to see everyone there to celebrate with me. There are a lot of pictures, so enjoy the long post!

my mom and I enjoying the college scene! (we had to sit by all the graduates)

Graduation!! May 7, 2010

I have finally grown up! All graduated and everything. I received my Associate Nursing Degree from Dixie State on May 7, 2010. My family all came down for the weekend and we had such a good time. They have all been awesome in supporting me during these last 2 years. I can't thank them enough. As much as I loved nursing school...I'm really excited to be finished. I made some wonderful friends and my instructors were incredible...now it's on to bigger and better!
