I have been thinking about Elder Adams a lot since he has gotten to Paraguay. As a result, I have been looking up pictures of the beautiful country that will be housing my boyfriend for the next 22 months. Here are a couple pictures of Iguazu Falls. From what I have heard, it is one of the 7 wonders of the world. I hope we can all be jealous of T.J. in the 100 degree weather surrounded by beautiful waterfalls. (Let's not sugar coat anything though. It is still a 3rd world country and he is still experiencing culture shock!)

So I'm sitting at work bored so I decided to change our background. I guess I am feeling wild in this almost new year so I went with the pink animal print...I know, I know, you would have never expected this out of me, but what can I say? I hope you enjoy it as much as I am right now!

ThE SnOwMaN

After the snow fall in St. George - Bryan, Matt and Dave made a snowman. They called me as I was leaving work and told me to come and and look at it. So I went...the snowman was pretty big for being in St. George. Meanwhile, Matt was putting together a Fire Cracker to put inside the Snowman to see if they could blow it up....I didnt ask!! They made several attempts, but they werent that sucessful. So Matt doubled it up, and taped alot more together. It was getting pretty dark so Dave had to put on the truck lights so that I could get a good Video. I honestly didnt think that it would work, and I was more afraid of it blowing up on us! Matt implanted the cracker and lite the fuse... (Watch the below video...)

Funny Huh?!! I loved it! It really did blow off the top of the head.

RaKiNg LeAvEs

So...we had a ton of leaves on our lawn, just in the front of the apartment really. So one morning while my dad and grandpa were here, we decided we were going to attack those leaves and get them Gone! So we started---dad and grandpa had to run some errands so I stayed and finished one part, but then Britt came home and we did the other side. We ended up raking 20 bags of Leaves!!!

A NiGhT AfTeR FHE

So...after the FHE activity of makin Gingerbread houses, Todd and Adam invited us to go to their Bon Fire. It was somewhere passed Washington...we got there and it was like 1030 and we werent even at ''The Site'' yet. we got there after almost getting stuck a couple of times cause it has been rainging and wet alot lately. They had some troubles getting the fire started...so we explored around the rocks and found this random bed....mmmmm?! But it was kinda a beat up and not really put together we think that someone wanted to use it for possible Bon Fire material...thats what we'll continue to think! Anyways, the Fire started out kinda pueny, but ended up being really biG...thanks Gas!

...Nativity at the Tuachan...

So a couple weeks ago, the Tuachan was hosting the Nativity Scene and Christmas Programs. The night before, Kristin came over and told us about how we should go to the Tuachan, so that night after I got off work, Britt, Andra and I went. Sarah and Kristin had already left...but they said that the show would start at 7:00 pm we left 0ur house about that time. But we thought we would be fine so we still headed out thinking that it would last more than 15 minutes. When we got there, the show was already over and we missed it...apparently it was only 15 minutes long......so we ended up just snapping some photos and getting a cute one with Santa. We were getting bad glares from the children behind us...it was pretty funny. We love the Tuachan...it shows lots of plays and concerts that we all like to go and see!

Ginger Bread Houses -Dec. 8 FhE

Dec 8- Our ward got together for FHE and we made Ginger Bread Houses. I had all the supplies and candy ready so that when everyone got to Brother Whitwer's house so we could start and have a contest on who could make the Best, Creative, Cutest fun House. We had about 50 people...which is Awesome! The Bishopric and their wives were the Judges...they were really fair with the judging. Some people got together in teams and did their house. Here are just a few from that night. We do have a really creative Ward. GOOD JOB GUYS

There were alot of great houses made that night, but we didn't want to post them all. Everyone had great ideas and did a great job!

Dec. 1- FhE AcTiViTy

In our Ward, Dixie College 4th Ward, my calling is Family Home Evening Chairman...it sounds really important and hard, but its way fun and all I have to do is just make sure that every week something is planned and we are good to go! So that is why we Blog about every Monday night Activites. On Dec. 1 we all got together at Bishops house and we made Snowflakes and Christmas Cards. We plan on taking them around to neighbors and people around the town while we sing Christmas Carols to them two Mondays from today. We had a really good turn out and I think that everyone enjoyed themselves. I love my calling. My committee that works with me is Awesome! Brittany serves on the Ward Activity Committee. She has had that calling for about 2 weeks and is already planning our Ward Christmas Party which takes place this Weekend! Exciting. She does really good and is good to help out. Anyways here are some Pics of that night.

...CHRISTMAS TIME...

For starters we both just want to start out by Wishing Everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We have both had a Great Year...Myself...Lindsey... I have been living in St. George for almost 1 year and loving it! I work at Dixie Regional Medical Center-- I love being a Nurse and I have learned alot but there is more to be learned, but I look forward to that! I have met some really good friends who have just made it better. I cant believe that this year is almost over! It has just flown by. I have made it home to Idaho a couple of times... which I have loved! I love and miss my family, but they have made quite a few trips here to see us, so it makes it all good. I have many things to be grateful for...and I am reminded of them all day everyday.

As for me...Brittany...I just finished my first semester of Nursing School and a break couldn't be more needed! I almost seem to be adjusting to life without T.J. and things are going great! I work at the hospital and just try to find time to have fun! I love it here in St. George and I am so blessed to be able to live with Linds, Sarah, and Candace. Having Greg and Kristin so close is also great! I have been so blessed in my life and am so grateful for my Savior, especially at this time of year. My family is wonderful and I can't wait to see them in a couple days! Love you all!

Britt and I decorated the Homestead to get in the Spirit of Christmas. We both had some of our own decor and combined them...it looks Great! We are just missing a Christmas Tree...but who knows we might just go buy one...although it is only 2 WEEKS away. Britt took some Pictures for you all to see of our Humble Home...EnJoY!

What You'll Do For A Picture.....

After work one night, I came home and Brittany was trying to find something to fix for dinner. We haven't been grocery shopping for a while...so we were scrounging through what we had and were looking in every cupboard and on the empty shelfs in the fridge...and found NOTHING to eat. It was late (or we were just too Tired) to go shopping so we decided just to go to Wendy's up the road on the Blvd. We went, it was almost closing time but they let us in. So we ordered...and we sat. As we were finishing up with the meal, Ken (our cashier, waiter, entertainment, and now NEWEST friend) came out to ask us if we needed anything else before we left. He refilled our drinks, wiped our table and took our trays. One of our ward friends Reid works at Wendy's so I had to ask if he knew who he was...he didn't...We wanted to get a photo of Ken, so while I was asking and talking about Reid, Britt was very sneeky, and snaped one while he wasn't looking! We wanted to get a picture to add to our Favorite Waiter List...so here you Go!! Ken looked sharp-- he had on Nice Black Pants with like 6 Buttons!! We did not get a photo of ourselves. So KEN gets the Spot Light this Round!

For Family Home Evening on Monday night we had the opportunity of collecting cans of food for Dixie Care and Share. It was really fun and we had a good turn out. We all brought cans of our own and then we went around to some houses and collected what we could from them. We actually got quite a few cans! After we had bugged enough people, we delivered the cans! It felt so good to share with those less fortunate and it put all of us in the Thanksgiving spirit! Enjoy the pictures...
