the poof or the bun???

So I went home for a few days this last weekend and late one night linds and I were texting because she was still in STG. After looking back on our conversation I decided I had to blog it because it was so dang funny! I will give you a little background first. So, for some unknown reason, our utility bill is extremely expensive! We have been turning off the AC and making sure we unplug things when we aren't using them, but it just doesn't seem to be coming down. SO...a couple weeks ago we decided to really focus on not using as many lights. We have been living by sunlight during the day and candle light at night! ha ha yes, it is true and we are having so much fun doing it! The other night we lit two candles and put them on our coffee table in the living room and just sat there and talked for an hour or so. It was pretty romantic...wait? Did i really just say that? :)
ok sorry, anyways it has been interesting! Linds even tried to go to the bathroom in the dark but we decided it would probably be worth it to just use the light for a second instead of have an accident! Ok, so that sets the stage for this conversation. Here it goes...
L is for Lindsey and B for Brittany...obviously!
L: "I have been good about keeping the lights off."
B: "Good girl! I'm excited to live by candle light again!"
L: "Ya. It's been fun! I feel very pioneer-ish or omish even."
B: oh yeah that's funny! We should try living omish totally for a day. I'm not sure if that would work but it would be interesting! :)"
L: "Do they watch TV? That is my main light source!"
B: "They don't do anything! We would have to walk everywhere and just go natural with our hair and things and no TV or pictures! hmm. this could be intersting! We just need a horse and buggy!"
L: "lets try it. we can make a camp fire outside the house for cooking. We need to go buy fake buns to be in real character."
B: "ha ha! Totally! or we could do the poof like the piligs. Oh man. Do we have to wear weird clothes??"
L: "lets do the poof WITH the buns! lets not wear weird clothes...i don't want to die of a heat stroke! We can just wear shoulder pads-"
B: "oh my! Shoulder pads! remember when our moms used to do that! Nasty! But let's do it. That would definitely be worthy of a blog entry!"
L: "I'll look tomorrow for the inserts. We might have to safety pin them on tho."
B: "i'm game. its not like I care what anyone thinks!"
Alright, now I don't know if anyone else thinks that is funny, but I was cracking up when I re-read those texts so for memory sake I had to post them!
The things we come up with! If this ever happens i'll be sure to post pictures! Oh and if anyone knows where we can buy shoulder pad inserts...let me know! :)

ConCert TimE

So in 1 week I was able to go to 3 Concerts!! The first one was on Saturday the 18th in Vegas with Keith Urban at the Mandaly Bay. It was amazing!! But of course when we got there my camera was dead...and the funny thing is...is that just before I started to get ready I stopped at the store and got batteries...I guess I was too caught up in the moment! HAHA. My friend got some great pics so I'll load them later. We had great seats...and I swear Keith Urban looked right at me and Winked!!!

Then on the 22nd, Due West and LADY ANTEBELLUM came to St George to the Dixie SunBowl Rodeo grounds. It was ABSOLUTLY Amazing. I was so excited for Lady A to come, I bought my ticket 2 months in advance.
I have Videos of both of them singing my favorite songs...but the computer is having some issues uploading them cause out Internet is WAY WAY slow...I'll try later.

Then on the 24th, Parachute and SecondHand Serenade came to the Famous Sunbowl
We had a big ole goup there with us for this one. It was so fun!! I had to work the next morning at 0500, but dont you worry...I didnt let that stop me...although the next day at work I was pretty tired.
After the concert we ended the night by eating at Wingers...the only place open at 1100 at night
